Susan Atkins didn't get any "compassion" from California today. She was denied an early release because of her brain cancer. I think it's safe to say that she's had cancer growing in her brain since she hooked up with Manson anyway.
The LA County D.A. was fighting hard against Atkins release, along with many other people. They said, "Susan Atkins has failed to demonstrate genuine remorse and lacks insight and understanding of the gravity of her crimes."
She tried to get released from prison but they said noooo, noooo, no.
