Does Killer Susan Atkins Deserve Compassion?

Susan Atkins has applied for Compassionate Release Consideration.

In case you don't remember who she is, Susan Atkins is a Manson Family member. On the evening of August 9, 1969, Atkins went with Linda Kasabian, Tex Watson and Patricia Krenwinkel to Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate's home on Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon to kill everyone there. 5 people were murdered.

Susan Atkins is responsible for holding Sharon Tate down while Tex Watson was stabbing her. Sharon who was 26 years old and 8 months pregnant, was pleading for her life and the life of her unborn baby. To that Atkins replied, "Woman, I have no mercy for you." Susan Atkins then started stabbing Sharon Tate herself because "She was sick of listening to her pleading and begging, begging and pleading."

Atkins went on to taste Sharon Tate's blood and then use it to write "PIG" on the front door.

Now Susan Atkins has brain cancer, is only expected to live about 6 more months and wants to go home to die. In all these years, she has shown neither remorse nor a willingness to accept responsibility.

Susan Atkins received the death penalty but it was commuted to life after the California death penalty was ruled unconstitutional.

Atkins even sued Governor Gray Davis in 2003, accusing him of holding her as a political prisoner. As you can imagine, she didn't win.

The state of California has had to pay $1.4 million on her medical care and security since her diagnosis in March!

So, should Susan Atkins be released under Compassionate Consideration? I say, hell to the hell no.

Using her own words, "Woman, I have no mercy for you."

Below are photo's taken of the beautiful Sharon Tate at Cielo Drive by photographer Ellen Graham. They were taken on a warm spring day in May, 1969 three months before her death. Sharon had asked Ellen Graham if she would photograph her baby after it was born.

The Board of Prison Terms hearing is tomorrow in Sacramento. Let's pray that she is denied.

sharon tate was a beautiful young woman who did not deserve to die especially the way she did. i am a mother myself and for anyone to harm and brutally kill an unborn child is extremely heartless and should suffer for as long as possible. susan atkins got what she deserved rotting in prison. my deepest sympathy to sharon tate's famly.

I jus felt the urge to say I'm glad she died in prison, I don't believe in forgiveness and I hope she suffered unimaginable pain while her tiny useless brain rotted away!
