As of today in Los Angeles, you can no longer talk on the phone while driving your car without using a hands-free device. Of course, I waited until this morning to go and get one. As soon as I left the house, I saw 3 different cops and my phone was ringing the whole time. I was trying to answer it by putting it on speaker but nobody liked being on speaker and the whole thing was giving me anxiety.
I refuse to wear the geekomatic Bluetooth. I am not a Trekie. I can't stand it when people wear those things. Especially when there is a glowing light coming from their ear. I would rather consider doing what the chick did in the photo above, but I'm also not in a tribe.
So, I tried to get the regular old school ear piece but shocker, they don't have them for my phone anymore. My phone is considered to be Jurassic. It's a little over a year old. That's old in phone years. Why would they sell accessories for a product that was considered a "new" product, a little over a year ago? That would be so lame, right?
I'm gonna let you guess what I had to do. Come on, just guess. You can pay me a dollar if you don't guess right because you already know the answer. Very good, I knew that you were smart. I HAD TO BUY A NEW PHONE to add to the graveyard of phones, chargers and car chargers that I already have. What am I supposed to do with all of this stuff? Get a display case to archive my phone collection and accessories from the past decade? Are we only supposed to have the same phone for less than a year? WTF?
Everyone else is going GREEN these days. Why aren't cell phone companies trying to do the same thing? Shouldn't we be able to keep a phone for at least, God forbid, 2 years? What are we supposed to do with all of these cell phones and cell phone accessories? If you turn them in for 5 bucks or whatever they give you for it, what are they doing with them? The guy today tried to take my old phone. He had his hand on it and was sliding it over towards him. I slid it on back to me. My stuff is on there. My photos, text messages, notes, numbers...HELLO? MY STUFF!
I'd really like to know the size of the carbon footprint's that the cell phone companies are putting into this world. Wouldn't you?
P.S. If you still don't have your hands-free and are looking for a Bluetooth in LA, everyone is out of them.

Speaking of green, I was wondering how much more electricity was going towards everybody now having to charge one more device every day. I mean we're short on energy, not people, so let the people crash while driving - also my friends and I discussed how much time we spent fiddling with the gadget that kept falling off our ears to the floor of the car. That's safe@!
