Sex and the City and Val Kilmer and Mary Kate Olsen... Oh My!

Tonight I went to see "Sex and the City" at the Arclight with my friend Sallie. I loooved it. She loooved it. We loooved! It was all that I thought it would be. It was sort of strange watching it with so many other people though. After so much time spent watching it alone with my DVR, it kind of felt like being outed at an AA meeting. Hi, my name is Gabby, "Hi Gabby", and I'm a Sex and the City addict.

Before heading into the Arclight, I had a very HAPPY moment. As we were walking from the parking garage, I saw Val Kilmer (sigh). VAL KILMER!!!! This is another secret that I have carried around for many years. I LOVE this man that I had never met or even seen before.

Sallie was oblivious that he was walking towards us and she was also walking too far away from me to point him out. The sun was still shining and I was not wearing my sunglasses. I ALWAYS wear my sunglasses during the day because the sun hurts my eyes. I have extra large pupils. At least this is what the doctors have told me. Don't ask. My pupils look like the same size as everybody else's pupils. Anyway, I had decided to leave my shades in the car because we were going to be in the movie. Wrong move. Val was walking in my direction and I was looking at him, but he was also looking at me. I had nothing to hide behind so that I could stare. I kept waiting for him to look away so that I could stare but he never did. I had to turn MY head away! I have waited so many years to meet him or at least see him (I don't care if he's chubby) and I had to turn my head away:( Lesson learned. I am never leaving my shades in the car again. AGAIN!

Mary Kate was also seeing the movie with us. Not with "us" but you know what I mean. Sallie loves this girl. She thinks that Mary Kate is sooo cute and stylish. I can't agree with her on this one. I don't really get her style. Funny because I'm sorta a hippie and Sallie is the opposite of hippie and yet I think that Mary Kate is hippie-ish, but still I don't get it. One of my friends has worked with her before and referred to her as a "dirt sandwich". I do get that. Out of the twins, I'm more Team Ashley. None the less, I was happy for Sallie that Mary Kate was in da house.

P.S. "Sex and the City" mentioned this rent-a-bag place that I thought was such a cool idea. Check it out http://www.bagborroworsteal.com/
